    For adults (17+)


Enrolment / Registration

There are 3 ways for you to enrol with us:

  • Online on our secure website : http://www.french-paris.com
  • By post : The completed registration form must be returned accompanied by the deposit or the total fees if you enrol for less than 4 weeks (course fees and accommodation costs)
  • By fax or e-mail (as attached document) in order to get a priority treatment of your registration, but the reservation will not be guaranteed until we receive the payment or requested deposit.
    For payment by bank transfer please enclose copy of payment form.


    To enrol you must be 18 years old. Younger students need to include a parents’ authorisation, details of persons to contact in case of emergency, authorised time for evening outings, authorisation for medical treatment and/or surgery if necessary and insurance papers as proof of insurance cover arranged by the parents for the length of the stay (see insurance).

Administration costs for the arrangement and reservation of your accommodation
The 80 euros administration costs must be paid on enrolment. Should you cancel your course, these costs are non refundable. You must pay the 80 euro administrative costs should you wish to change your accommodation during your stay. Should you arrange your accommoda¬tion independently from ACCORD and on arriving in France or during your stay you wish to benefit from the ACCORD reservation service to change your accommodation, you will have to pay 100 euros in administrative fees.

Booking Confirmation:
You will receive confirmation of your enrolment and an invoice detailing the payment received and/or the amount due after your arrival by post (and e-mail or fax if you request so on your registration form).

Visa
Should you come from outside the European Community and wish to stay in France for over 3 months, you may need a visa “long séjour” (or “visa d’études longues durées”). In this case you will be required to supply the pre-enrolment certificate which we will send you on reception of the enrolment form and payment of the deposit.

Cancellation
Should your visa be refused, and on presentation of the original document from the French Embassy proving this refusal, ACCORD will refund you in full minus 200 euros administrative fees and 50 euros for bank transfer costs (10 euros for EU citizens). Refunds are made by bank transfer only. No refund if you don’t provide an original document by the French Embassy. Copies and photocopies are refused and not considered as original documents.

Should you be unable to attend for medical or professional reasons (a medical or work certificate must be sent to us by recorded delivery) your stay will be postponed on reception of the certificate for a period of 12 months. Refund possible under stated sales conditions.

For all other cases :

Should you cancel your stay over a month in advance, ACCORD will refund you 70% of the fees paid, minus 250 euros administrative fees and 50 euros for bank transfer costs (10 euros for EU citizens). Refunds are made by bank transfer only.

Should you cancel three or four weeks before your starting date (Monday for the course, Sunday if you request accommodation), ACCORD will refund you 60% of the fees paid, minus 250 euros administrative fees and 50 euros for bank transfer costs (10 euros for EU citizens).

Refunds are made by bank transfer only.

No refund after the first date of your stay (Monday for course registration only – Sunday for registration including accommodation booked by ACCORD).

Should the school be obliged to cancel your course you will be refunded in full. You will not be charged any bank or administrative fees.

Late course arrival
Students arriving over 15 minutes after the lesson has started must wait until break to enter the classroom.

Absence and course interruption:
Registering for a course means that you are committing yourself to attend it regularly. You cannot claim any refund if you miss classes or if you decide to drop out of your course (this excludes absence for proven medical reasons on presentation of medical certificate). You cannot claim any refund if you decide to stop your course and/or your stay in France.

Behaviour
Should a student display any unreasonable behaviour or bad intentions, ACCORD reserves the right to exclude him or her from the school at any time.

Claims
Claims must be addressed to the Management of the school who will decide on possible course refund and course transfer matters. All claims concerning ACCORD and FORUM ACCORD departments must be made in writing and sent (recorded delivery) to FORUM ACCORD, 14 bd Poissonnière, 75009 Paris, France, on the week following the end of the course. Legal claims will be dealt by the “Tribunaux de Paris”.

Insurance
ACCORD declines any responsibility for theft, damage or loss. Both parties agree that ACCORD will not be involved in those matters. Before arriving in France you must check your personal insurance. All students younger than 18 years of age must attach a copy of their insurance policy to their enrolment form. Use of photographic material
ACCORD may take photographs of students in order to illustrate its brochure. Should the participant disagree, he/she or his/her parents must state their refusal in writing on the registration form.

The school will be closed from December 19th 2009 to January 3th 2010 included. The school will open on Monday, January 5th 2010.

Prices
Stated prices and sales conditions are valid from 1st January to 31st December 2009.

Payment

You will receive an invoice detailing the payment received and the amount due after your arrival if that is the case by post. For payment by bank transfer please enclose a copy of payment form. Payment for courses must be paid in full on the first day of term at the latest.

Methods of payment
Your payment must be made in euros. You may pay by:
Credit Card (Visa, Mastercard, Eurocard, or American Express)
• Cheque or euro-cheque to FORUM ACCORD
• Bank transfer: Please add 50 euro to cover bank charges (10 euros for EU citizens).
