Activities in Paris

cultural activities

In addition to your courses, Accord Language School offers a cultural program to give you a better understanding and appreciation of French culture.

This program is seasonal and takes Parisian cultural events into account.

Some examples :

Walks to discover historical and picturesque areas of Paris. They can be organised in two ways : with a guide or with a discovery questionnaire especially designed by our team of teachers. Places visited : the Marais, Montmartre, the Quartier Latin, Père-Lachaise, Ile de la Cité, Montparnasse, etc.

Boat excursions on the Seine and canals of the capital.

Outings to the cinema, the theatre or the opera followed by lively discussions in Parisian cafés.

Themed visits followed by a conference on a precise aspect of Paris : "Artists' houses", "Parisian roads", "Paris in Proust's time", etc.

Readings from books by famous authors like Victor Hugo, George Sand, Gérard de Nerval and concerts with music from their time.

Guided tours of the world famous museums of Paris: the Louvre, the Museum of Modern Art, the Picasso Museum, the Grand Palais and other lesser known but equally exciting museums: the Zadkine museum (artist's house and workplace), Victor Hugo's house, Galliera museum (fashion and costume museum), Rodin museum, Delacroix museum, the Perfume museum, etc.

Excursions to famous places outside Paris : Versailles castle, the Loire Valley and its famous castles, Chantilly, Senlis, Beaune, Fontainebleau, etc.

Outings to theme parks : Disneyland-Paris, Astérix Park, France Miniatures.

In the summer, you are invited to attend weekly talks, held at Accord Language School on French cultural and civilisation topics such as "The institutions of the Fifth Republic", "the history of Butte Montmartre", "French cuisine", "The media", "Contemporary Literature", etc.
